About
A firm built for how businesses actually run today.
Most small-business accounting firms haven’t updated their stack since 2009. Five tools, ten emails, a fax machine for anything above $10k. We built Foxel because every operator we talked to was describing the same frustration — not with their numbers, with how exhausting it was to get to them.
Foxel is operated by Simple Financial Solutions Limited, an Illinois corporation (EIN 86-2098028). We pair IRS-licensed preparers with a financial operating system we build in-house — one portal where books, taxes, payroll, documents and signatures live together. Our team answers in hours. Your data stays yours. When you leave, you keep everything — books, filings, dossier — in portable formats, no exit fee.
We’re a US-only, US-licensed firm. We know our scope, and we go deep inside it.

What we care about
Four principles we won’t negotiate on.
Licensed, not laptop.
Every return is prepared by a human with a current IRS PTIN. We follow Circular 230, §7216, FTC Safeguards. No chat-bot answers to real tax questions.
Modern stack, boring approach.
The software we build in-house is in service of the work — not the other way around. We don't replace judgment with automation; we remove the busywork around it.
Answer in hours, not days.
Email during business hours gets a human reply same-day. Growth and Scale clients have a direct line to their bookkeeper.
US-focused, US-licensed.
We only work with US-based businesses and only file returns in US jurisdictions. Deep expertise in a bounded market beats shallow expertise everywhere.
The team
Working on bios — meet us on a call.
Our team page is still filling in. If you’d like to meet the preparer who’d handle your return before signing anything, book a 30-minute intro — zero commitment, we’ll introduce you to the person you’d actually work with.
